I just had an epiphany. you might be able to replace the shaft seal without cutting it open if you can somehow get that scraper seal out because then you can remove the spring clip that holds the brass washer in then slide everything off and back on over the threaded end of the shaft after removing the steering knuckle attachment. it wouldn't be easy getting the old scraper out because it is really in there. maybe drill it out or drill and put in screw to attach some type of puller? it…
